Creating emotional impact – developing the look and feel of the Mollie Mathews brand

Date: June 8th, 2013, Posted by mollie

I’m only in the beginning stages of developing my brand. But already I’m clear on one thing – I’m thinking along the lines of Turkish Delight re colours – pinks, chocolates, golds and…a dusting of white. Why? Because readers tell me that reading romance is like stuffing your face full of chocolate without feeling guilty about  the calories.

Personally, I love Turkish Delight. The name alone inspires romance!

I sent my very sketchy brief to long-time friend and design guru Lionel Taylor from TaylorMcAllum.

I shared with him the themes important to me – Passion, fun, humor, emotion, romance, beauty and elegance – all wrapped up in something visually evocative and sensual…..(which is why I thought of chocolate)

We are still working on finalising the details, and of course it will include wonderfully sensual images, but here is the gorgeous initial concept. What do you think?

My ultimate hero

Date: June 6th, 2013, Posted by mollie

It’s official – after an exhaustive search I have found my ultimate romance hero – Mario Frangoulis. And he’s a Greek God! Actually Mario was born in Rhodesia but grew up in Athens. He has looks to die for and a voice that makes my heart melt.

He sings in Italian, Spanish, English, French, and Greek – clearly fluent in all 5 languages.

Mario Frangoulis was born on December 18, 1967  – one week before Christmas, making him a Sagittarius Horse. He was born in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) of Greek parents. But when he was four years old he was sent to Athens, Greece to live with his maternal aunt Loula and her husband George. They are said to have adored him so much (who wouldn’t!) that Mario considered them as his parents. At the age of eight he began singing in various choirs and …well. as they say, the rest is history.
Not only is he an internationally acclaimed musician but he is actively involved in charity work – especially those charities which focus on children.

What makes him heroic?

  • Mega Good looks
  • Compassionate
  • Talented
  • Uber Sexy….and more

“People who hav…

“People who have a sense of purpose and who follow their passion are rewarded with joy and energy and are fueled by inspiration. It’s as if they are dancing with life and the Universe rewards the dancers with abundance in all forms. It’s time to put on your dancing shoes, have fun and kick up your heels!” ~ Lynn Robinson
